EVENT | Storytelling: Tales from the Global South

Laure Joanny will be talking about her research at a storytelling workshop, as part of the Tales from the Global South project.

Join us at Tamper Seller’s Wheel for an evening of captivating and affecting stories from around the world. International development researchers have been working with a professional storyteller to craft stories about their work. The stories they tell will cover a variety of different countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America covering topics such as people, the environment, livelihoods and communities.

BIOSEC’s Laure Joanny will be recalling her experience of learning about the technologies keeping watch over Indonesia’s forest and wildlife, while having to report to the national authorities. BIOSEC fellow Elaine Hsiao will share her story of trans-boundary community conservation
